1N5302UR-1 Application Field and Working Principle
The 1N5302UR-1 diode is part of the Single Rectifier diodes family. This family is composed of various types of diodes and mainly characterized by their structure and use of silicon material to form the diode.
1N5302UR-1 diodes are single silicon rectifiers with a maximum steady-state current of 1.3A. These devices are mainly used in auto/truck/trailer applications. They are often used in circuits when reverse blocking is needed and in high voltage AC circuits.
Working Principle
A single rectifier diode is a two-terminal component with a characteristic semiconductor p-n junction. The 1N5302UR-1 employs a single silicon rectifier. When the anode is more positive than the cathode, it permits current to flow, referred to as forward-bias conduction. The diode conducts in this state. When the anode is more negative than the cathode, it blocks current flow and is in reverse-bias breakdown. This diode can block up to 5V in reverse bias.
