A 1N5369CE3/TR8 is a Zener diode SIP device with an integrated zener diode and a standard SIP package.  The maximum breakdown voltage of the diode is 28 volts and the maximum clamping voltage is 32 volts. This type of diode is ideal for applications which require an isolated zener diode for low voltage clamping or low voltage regulating. 

The 1N5369CE3/TR8 diode has a simple working principle. When the anode is positive with respect to the cathode, the diode acts like an open circuit, allowing no current to flow. When the anode becomes negative with respect to the cathode, the diode acts like a short circuit and allows current to flow. The zener diode works in the same way, except the diode acts as a voltage regulator by allowing current to flow in the reverse direction when the anode voltage exceeds the breakdown voltage.
