Quick-connect terminal blocks utilize a sprung lever system at the base of the terminal to quickly and easily add/remove before and after soldering; this applies to standard or terminal blocks with looping. Color coded terminals indicate voltage or amperage ratings as per electrical safety standards. Male/female terminal blocks mount onto each other like a double socket to create dual circuits. The removable cover allows the wires to be easily inserted or removed during assembly.

The working principle behind terminal blocks is quite simple: the application of electricity or other current across the contacting edges. The voltage or amperage is transferred from one terminal block to the next along the wiring path, across the contact points, and up or down the busbar. The electrical current is then conducted to the application-specific component. The more complex applications utilize numerous terminal blocks, which are connected in series and utilize multiple wires.
