The Working Principle of 2EZ16D/TR12

At its core, a diode is nothing more than an electrical component that acts as a one-way gate. They allow electrical current to pass through them in one direction, and are known for their low resistance in this direction. When a diode is connected to a voltage source, current begins to flow through it. The voltage at which this current starts to flow is known as its “turn-on” or “forward” voltage, and can be affected by variables such as temperature, voltage, and current. This is a voltage at which the Zener diodes start conducting current in its reverse direction.
