The result is a capacitor with a higher capacitance value, lower ESR (equivalent series resistance), and more robust construction than traditional tantalum capacitors.

2R5TAE330M, a type of tantalum-polymer capacitor, is a miniature high-temperature, polarized, and extruded aluminum SMD capacitor. It is made with a specific process to combine the characteristics of a tantalum capacitor with the properties of a polymeric dielectric.
