The 30D477M025DF2AE3 products are organic electrolyte aluminum electrolytic capacitors. They have low temperature coefficient, low impedance and quick charging and discharging. So they can be widely used in computers, telecommunications, automobiles, instruments, defense, aerospace and other fields, where require for a low impedance and small size capacitor.
Working Principle
The working principle of 30D477M025DF2AE3 aluminum electrolytic capacitor relies on the electrochemical polarization between the anode and the cathode in electrolytic solution. The capacitor consists of two electrodes, the anode and the cathode, and electrolyte solution sandwiched between the two. The anode is made of aluminum foil with a very thin aluminum oxide layer formed by anodizing, while the cathode is made of a series of thin metal layers, such as metalized paper, foil, etc. When a voltage is applied to an electrolytic capacitor, electrical charges accumulate on the anode, without the electrolyte, the oxide layer acts as an insulator. But with the electrolyte present, the electric field is divided into two parts, which form a conducting layer of ions at the anode surface, thus enabling electric current to flow across the two electrodes.
The capacitance of the 30D477M025DF2AE3 capacitor is determined by the area of the electrode, the type of electrolyte and the electrolyte concentration. The dielectric breakdown between the anode and the cathode is determined by the thickness of the oxide layer and the type of electrolyte, while the ESR of the capacitor is mainly determined by resistance of the electrolyte.
