Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

30D686M063DC2A is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, which is suitable for use in applications such as the filtering, bypassing, coupling, decoupling, and power factor correction in power semiconductor devices in a wide range of electronic and electrical equipment.

Working Principle

Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are composed of two electrodes, an aluminum foil and an electrolyte, and a separator. The two anode foils are pre-assembled, covered by a diaphragm, dipped in the electrolyte, and rolled into aluminum electrolytic capacitors. Anodized aluminum foils have a large number of uniform holes formed in them during strong acid electrolyte etching, forming a porous constructed layer known as the anode formed oxide film. It acts as one of the capacitors\' electrodes. The electrolytes are commonly sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and other acids that are used to convert aluminum metal into an aluminum oxide. This oxide forms an insulating layer around the anode. The separator is usually a non-woven fabric film that acts to separate the anode from the cathode and to contain the electrolyte. The cathode consists of two metal foil electrodes that are folded together. The inner part of the cathode foil is sprayed with a conductive paint, which ensures that the maximum number of anode oxide holes come into contact with the cathode.
