687LBB160M2DC Working Principle

The structure of 687LBB160M2DC aluminum electrolytic capacitor is composed of an electrolyte and two metal plates fixing the slit. The two metal plates are respectively an anode and a cathode. The two metal plates, the anode and the cathode, are physically separated by a thin insulating film (diaphragm), and are electrically connected by the electrolyte in the casing. When an AC voltage is applied to the two metal plates, a certain amount of current will simultaneously flow into the electrolyte, resulting in an electric double layer at the interface of the cathode and the anode. The accumulation of electric charges generates a capacitance between the two metal plates. This is the principle of aluminum electrolytic capacitor.
