Working Principle

The 93LC66A-I/ST is an I²C bus compatible device, which works like any other I²C device. The device is connected to the I²C bus using two pins—the Serial Clock (SCL) line, used to synchronize all data transfers, and the Serial Data (SDA) line, used to transfer data. It can communicate with up to four devices on the bus. The communication between slave and master is always initiated by the master, which sends the bus address of the target slave from the first byte, followed by the data bytes. The device can be configured for individual address or for common address (sharing a single address) for multiple devices.
