The A3P250-VQ100 is a powerful and versatile field programmable gate array (FPGA) that is specially designed for embedded applications. It is a low-cost, low- overhead solution which combines a small number of logical programmable elements with a high degree of flexibility. The device is based on a single-chip Xilinx Spartan 3E FPGA, and is furthermore optimized for power consumption and cost-effectiveness.
The A3P250-VQ100 is the smallest single-chip FPGA available on the market today. It measures only 33mm x 17mm, making it extremely compact for its functionality. The chip features a total of 25,000 logic cells, with 10-input look-up tables (LUTs) in each cell and a dedicated carry chain. It has a wide range of I/O, including 16 circuit-switched ports, four clock ports, three serial ports, and two 16-bit PMOD cells for expansion.
The A3P250-VQ100 is designed to provide maximum flexibility and scalability for embedded designs. It can be easily reconfigured to meet application needs, with the use of Xilinx’s Vivado Design Suite software. The chip also has integrated on-chip memory which includes block RAM, distributed RAM, and flash, as well as dedicated on-chip temperature and voltage sensors.
