Analog to Digital Converters (ADC) are a vital component within the data acquisition (DAQ) family. Among them, the latest and most popular ADC is the AD4006BRMZ. The SAR core is an oversampling architecture with an internal PLL clock controller and FIFO, allowing multiple samples to be taken for each conversion sequence. The ADC provides two conversion sequences, allowing multiple non-return-to-zero (NRZ) data samples to be acquired between two corresponding clock edges. This allows for a higher throughput than is possible with other SAR cores due to its wider sampling interval. In addition, the device provides a 300 kHz test clock output for system debugging.

The AD4006BRMZ provides a multi-bit daisy-chain data output which supports both 16-bit and 18-bit resolution.
