AD602ARZ-RL Application Field and Working Principle

The AD602ARZ-RL is a low-power and high-performance, CMOS instrumentation amplifier that is ideal for a wide range of instrumentation, data acquisition and biomedical applications. It provides an accuracy of 0.05% or better and an extremely low gain drift of 0.5ppm/°C. This device specializes in amplifying signals with a low offset voltage, low noise and high linearity, while consuming very low power.

The AD602ARZ-RL belongs to the linear amplifiers-instrumentation, OP Amps, Buffer Amps family, whose application fields include medical instrumentation, data acquisition systems, sensors and transducer amplifiers, automatic test equipment and a variety of industrial control systems. Moreover, this device does not require an output coupling capacitor and works only with a single power supply for optimal power efficiency.

The working principle of this device involves its use of a precise input stage to provide extremely low offset voltage and ultra-low noise. The first-stage amplifier provides an open-loop gain that matches the gain of the next two gain stages, allowing for an exact control of the overall amplification. This ingenious instrumentation amplifier takes advantage of its three-stage symmetry and precise gain setting which provide superb linearity over the entire input signal range. The input is DC coupled and the output is tailored to match a wide range of load conditions. Furthermore, the device includes a power-down feature that allows the device to be turned off while conserving energy.
