Analog multipliers, dividers and similar signal processing operations are some of the most fundamental tools used by electrical engineers. One of the oldest and most widely used linear analog multipliers is the AD633JR-REEL. This device has been around for over 30 years and is still used for a variety of signal processing tasks today.

The AD633JR-REEL is a voltage-mode multiplier capable of multiplying two input signals, X and Y. This device can perform multiplication, division, gating, and summation functions depending on how it is wired. The device has four terminals labeled X, Y, Vcc and GND.
