AD7684BRMZRL7 is a 16-bit, 8-channel, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) of the differential non-multiplexed inputs. It belongs to the data acquisition system and is part of the Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADC) family. This device has a multi-bit serial interface and low power consumption, as well as differential inputs and an on-chip reference.
Applications
Because of the high resolution, very low power consumption and small package, AD7684BRMZRL7 is suitable for a wide range of applications. It can be used in medical instrumentation such as ECG, X-ray and blood-pressure monitors, as well as to acquire digital images with C/CT scanners. Other applications include encoders, robotics, digital control systems for process control and telecommunications, computer peripherals and automotive.
Working Principle
AD7684BRMZRL7 is powered by a 2.7V to 5.25V supply and clock frequencies of up to 25MHz. When an external signal is applied, the ADC samples it at a high resolution of 16-bit and converts it into a proportional digital output. Several individual channels can be sampled simultaneously at a frequency of 16kHz, providing accurate and consistent results. The differential inputs allow the converter to effectively reject noise, making it suitable for applications where signal integrity is critical. The device also includes a low-glitch, linear ultrasonic anti-aliasing filter that can be enabled or bypassed, depending on the specific application. Finally, the 16-bit data is available in two 8-bit words and one parity bit, shifted serially out of the converter in a standard 3-state format.
