The AD8230YRZ-REEL7 is an ultra-low-noise, low-distortion, quad-channel, instrumentation amplifier with chopper stabilization. It is designed for the highest accuracy in medical, audio, test, and measurement applications. It is based on Analog Devices’ proven high performance iCMOS™ process that has been optimized for low power and low noise performance.The AD8230YRZ-REEL7 offers high linearity, low distortion, and excellent common-mode and power supply rejection. It is designed to provide improved accuracy and high speed in low-noise applications, delivering up to 12MHz bandwidth at a gain of 2 and up to 2V/μs slew rate at a gain of 1.The features of the AD8230YRZ-REEL7 include: improved accuracy and high speed; low noise; chopper stabilization; and excellent common-mode and power-supply rejection. It also has a low supply current of 10mA. It is an excellent choice for high accuracy and high speed in applications such as medical instrumentation, audio/visual systems, and test and measurement equipment.The AD8230YRZ-REEL7 is available in both a dual (SOIC-14L) and quad (CSP-14L) package. It has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.Working Principle
The AD8230YRZ-REEL7 is an analog differential input amplifier. It consists of two separate signal inputs, or two differential pairs of inputs, depending on the package. One input is connected to the output and the rest of the inputs are configured as differential pairs. These differential inputs amplify the difference between the two inputs, rejecting any signal applied to both inputs. The AD8230YRZ-REEL7 also incorporates a chopper stabilization circuit that switches the input signal at a high frequency to reduce 1/f noise, providing improved accuracy and high speed in low-noise applications.The outputs are low-impedance and are capable of driving loads as low as 20Ω without impacting the DC accuracy. The outputs swing from 0V to the voltage of the supply rail (VCC).Applications
The AD8230YRZ- REEL7 is ideal for high accuracy and high speed low-noise applications such as medical instrumentation, audio/visual systems and test and measurement equipment.In medical instrumentation applications, the AD8230YRZ-REEL7 can be used as a differential amplifier to improve accuracy and reduce noise of analog signals such as electrocardiogram (ECG) signals. Its high speed also makes it suitable for applications such as movement control or force measurements.The AD8230YRZ-REEL7 can also be used in audio/visual systems as a differential amplifier for microphone preamplifiers and frequency response correction.
