The AD9516-2BCPZ-REEL7 clock/timing device is a versatile clock generator that supports a wide range of frequency synthesis techniques. It is designed to meet the most demanding requirements of demanding aerospace and optoelectronics applications.
The AD9516-2BCPZ-REEL7 is a low-power, wide-range clock/timing IC capable of generating Clock and Reference clock for microcontrollers and other digital systems. It is a low-jitter, low-phase noise, ultra-wideband clock with an adjustable output frequency, programmable duty cycle definition, adjustable flip-flop duty cycle definition, variable-speed duty-cycle definition and adjustable line-frequency output voltage. It supports a variety of user-selectable output formats, including sine-wave, pulse, pulse coding and pulse-with-phase.
The AD9516-2BCPZ-REEL7 is based on highly advanced frequency synthesis techniques, and the clock generator is made of three sections. The first section is dedicated to characterizing the clock/timing signal, enabling customers to meticulously customize their clocks for specific applications. The second stage consists of two parts: a digital phase-locked loop (PLL) and a digital frequency synthesizer (DFS). The PLL is used to lock the output signal onto a reference clock, while the DFS generates the desired output frequency. Finally, the third section contains output logic, control logic and output buffers.
The frequency of the AD9516-2BCPZ-REEL7 can be adjusted by changing the reference clock and the frequency of the input signal. This can be done by setting the PLL reference frequency, or by setting the frequency of the input clock. The frequency range can be set between 1MHz and 250 MHz.
