The ADC081S021CIMF is an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments. Immediately following, the ADC starts the successive approximation process by generating a comparison voltage which is compared to the input voltage. If the voltage is low, a 1 is added to the binary number, and if it is high, a 0 is added. This process is then repeated until all the bits are determined and the binary number is “written” into the digital signal.The ADC081S021CIMF also utilizes an interpolation query to increase the accuracy of the data. This works by using a more detailed voltage range to increase the accuracy of the analog conversion. This query step is repeated a number of times depending on the device’s resolution until the accuracy is at its maximum. The device then completes the conversion process by converting the binary number back into a digital representation. The ADC081S021CIMF provides high accuracy and low noise. This device also offers a wide dynamic range, a fast sampling rate, and low power consumption. It is available in a 28-pin TSSOP package and is easily integrated into existing systems.
