ADG1208YRZ is a 8-channel multiplexer and demultiplexer device which has been designed for wide range of applications in consumer, industrial and automotive industries. The device can be used to switch signals between high-quality analog audio, video and digital audio signals. It is an 8-channel multiplexer which can route multiple low input voltages of a single or multiple sources into a single point. The ADG1208YRZ can also be used to demultiplex a single high output voltage into respective groups of signals to drive multiple outputs with excellent stability.
The device is ideal for switching between digital audio, multiplexed analog audio, and video signals. It can be used in audio crossovers, audio equalizers and mixers, audio monitor switching and other applications which involve switching signals between high-quality audio and video sources. The device is also suitable for use in applications where low distortion, low latency and high channel count is required.
The device consists of eight independent switches that can be used to route various signals. The device consists of a power source and each channel consists of an input, output and control pin that can be used to control the switching of the channel. The device includes a separate power supply and provides power savings of up to 90%.
The device operates over a wide voltage range of 2.7 to 5.5V and has a low input impedance of 3Kohm. Each channel has an on-resistance of 8.5 ohms and a low off capacitance of 0.9pF. The device is equipped with a soft-start feature which helps to reduce audible switching transients.
