ADG453BR-REEL is a series of IC interfaces that can perform analog switching, multiplexing and demultiplexing operations. In electronics, switches are electronic devices that can be used to control the amount and direction of the electrical current in various circuits. The device has two states: open or closed. As the name implies, in the open state, the voltage in the circuit is zero, while in the closed state, the voltage is close to the source voltage.Multiplexer, also known as MUX, is an electronic device that is used to combine several electrical signals into one. It can be used to send more information over one cable and it can also be used to separate one electrical signal into multiple separate signals. Demultiplexers are the opposite of multiplexers, they are electronic devices that can take one electrical signal and separate it into multiple signals.Application Field and Working Principle of ADG453BR-REEL
ADG453BR-REEL is a versatile interface IC which is mainly used in analog switching, multiplexing and demultiplexing applications. It uses low power CMOS technology to ensure its compatibility with both high voltage and low voltage analog circuits. The ADG453BR-REEL has two digital control inputs S0 and S1. S0 and S1 act as address lines which allow the user to select the desired switch or multiplexer channel by programming the values on the inputs. The device also has two logic outputs, one for every channel. The ADG453BR-REEL supports single-pole, double-pole and triple-pole switching configurations which can be used for various applications such as audio, data, video and instrumentation. The device allows the user to switch up to 16 channels with a 1.9ns switching time. The ADG453BR-REEL provides excellent power supply rejection and noise immunity and can operate at temperatures up to 105°C. It is also ESD protected and has power supply current limiting protection. The device also features built-in thermal shut down protection and short circuit protection.Conclusion
