The ADP1875-1.0-EVALZ is a flexible and highly efficient offline LED driver evaluation board for design of various types of SMPS (switched mode power supplies). It offers adjustable constant current driver output with high efficiency and low EMI (electromagnetic interference). It is designed to provide an ideal solution for small and medium-sized LED applications such as security lighting, architectural lighting, and accent lighting.The ADP1875-1.0-EVALZ board features an ADP1875-1.0 buck converter IC (Integrated Circuit) which is specially designed for driving LEDs. The board is equipped with various components, including a constant current regulator and power switch control circuit which allow for a wide range of driving current and voltage settings. This board allows designers to easily adjust the drive parameters for optimal LED performance and design flexibility.The ADP1875-1.0-EVALZ evaluation board adopts a high frequency, full-bridge, low EMI PWM converter topology which provides accurate current control and efficient power conversion. The maximum switching frequency of the converter is 500 kHz and the other control and drive features of the IC are implemented on the board. The board also includes a complete feedback loop for adjustable output regulation and over-current protection.When the board is powered on, MOSFETs of the buck converter IC are turned on which allows high current to flow through the LEDs connected to the board. The current sources operating in the buck control loop serve to regulate the current flowing through the LEDs. A protection circuit is also incorporated onto the board to protect against over and under voltage and thermal overload.In addition to this, the board also incorporates a PWM (pulse width modulation) controller which enables the output current to be adjustable. The PWM control signal is fed to the active MOSFETs which creates a variable duty cycle for controlling the input current and output voltage. This control signal is generated from the power switch control circuit incorporated onto the board. This control signal can be adjusted via the ADP1875-1.0-EVALZ GUI (Graphical User Interface) software.The ADP1875-1.0-EVALZ board is an efficient and flexible evaluation board for design and evaluation of an LED driver based power supply. Furthermore, the board also provides great flexibility for design engineers allowing them to customize the LED driver design for specific application requirements.
