The ADUC816ASZ is a single-chip microcontroller based on a 20 MIPS aduC RISC microcontroller core and a powerful DSP coprocessor integrated onto one die. It is an ideal solution for applications that require both digital signal processing and microcontroller (MCU) control such as digital image/video processing, motor controls, instrumentation, medical instrumentation, automotive applications, and complex embedded systems. The microcontroller includes a 16-bit I/O port, 10-bit A/D converter, 4-channel Timer/Counter, Serial UART, SPI and 2-Wire Interface, as well as on-chip voltage supervisory circuit.
The ADUC816ASZ offers very high performance processing, with its 20 MIPS microprocessor core and its 10-bit 20 MIPS coprocessor. It takes just 1.5µs to execute an instruction, which ensures cutting-edge performance at power efficiencies up to 90 percent with 1.5 to 3.5V of operating voltage. The ADUC816ASZ also supports sleep modes, allowing ultra-low-power operations and wakeup from a variety of interrupt triggers.
The ADUC816ASZ has a 16-bit wide data path and a 64K x 16 bit Memory Map and a 8K x 14 bit EEPROM. It supports all of the mainstream programming languages including C, C++, Assembly and BASIC, as well as advantageous technologies like CAN, LIN, and LINx. These features make the ADUC816ASZ a unique, powerful and cost-effective solution for all sorts of embedded control applications.
The ADUC816ASZ requires a power supply of 1.5V to 3.5V, an oscillator frequency of 10 MHz to 20 MHz and can operate at temperatures between -40°C to +85°C. It has a 100-pin PQFP package size and comes with the following features:
