ALD310704PCL relies on a new concept in the field of analog switch technology to realize high performance with ultra-low power consumptions on a single chip.
The device incorporates five individually addressable control switches, each with an integral anti-latching circuitry. The control switch is a MOSFET device, its gate voltage determines whether the device is active or inactive. Additionally, its channels are used to sandwich the MOSFET device between a source and a drain - thus completing a three-terminal switch called an Array. Each Array provides two switching paths (on/off) and operates as either a single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) or double-pole/single-throw (DPST) switch.
ALD310704PCL supports a wide range of control voltage values between 0V to 5V and a modified Normally- OFF Input Configuration, where the control voltage is set to the Low level (0V)below which no current is sunk. This input configuration results in an increased differential input resistance and a reduced leakage current, resulting in extremely high-input impedance and extremely low power consumption. This property makes it suitable for applications such as RF, low-noise and low-power- consumption switches and multiplexers.
The device also offers superior switching performance over its comparable counterparts. The control switch has a low ON resistance of 0.7Ω (@ Vgs = 0.7 V) and a Fast Switching speed of 0.05μs (@Vgs = 0.7V). The device also offers high isolation characteristics, with high input impedance (1T/1K) and low output capacitance (10 pF).
The ALD310704PCL circuit also provides a robust and reliable operation. The device is designed to withstand large peak voltages and currents and offers a built-in reverse-polarity protection function to prevent false triggering.
