Working Principle

The electrodes are placed in contact with the electrolyte, which is produced through a chemical reaction.

The electrodes are also polarized, where one is positively charged and other is negatively charged. Due to the electric field between them, an electric potential is created to keep the electrodes apart. As the electric current traveling through the capacitor increases, the electric potential starts to oppose the current, producing a so-called capacitance, allowing the capacitor to store an electric charge.
