The AMP01BX is a high speed, low voltage interface amplifier combining excellent ac characteristics with low dc errors. It is typically used for the amplification of audio signals or for the acquisition of instrumentation signals with a wide dynamic range. This versatile amplifier can be used to interface and measure signals from a variety of sources such as microphones, keyboards, transceivers, and other electronic instruments.
The amplifier has a wide frequency response ranging from dc up to 250MHz, and provides a very low noise figure, making it an ideal choice for high speed, low noise, low distortion, wide dynamic range applications. The AMP01BX is designed to operate from a single power supply of 3V to 10V, making it ideal for many applications where limited power and space are available.
The AMP01BX has two amplifier channels, the first one (A1) is used for the amplification of small signals, such as microphones, and offers excellent gain linearity and transimpedance linearity over the full dynamic range. The second channel (A2) enables an even wider dynamic range as it can be used for the acquisition of high level signals from transceivers, television tuners and other instruments. The balanced inputs can be connected directly to the input source with excellent common mode rejection.
The outputs of the AMP01BX are fully differential, low impedance (<10W) signals, and can be directly connected to an AD converter or other input devices with minimal noise and distortion. The differential outputs adopt a standard voltage output scheme, making them easy to connect to data acquisition systems. The open-drain logic output is also provided, which allows the outputs of the amplifier can be cascaded with other amplifiers without any additional low frequency compensation.
The AMP01BX internally incorporates a resistive termination to reduce the effects of external fields on the amplifier\'s accuracy. The output impedance is easily adjusted by turning a single potentiometer. The low offset voltage ensures that the amplifier does not drift significantly when powered on or off.
