The AOK50B65M2 is a 700V Ultrafast IGBT designed to control the current flow in inverters and rectifiers. This ensures that the device is not subjected to large inrush currents at the start of a cycle, thus reducing switching losses.
The AOK50B65M2 is rated for operation up to 150°C junction temperature, and is equipped with a FET gate-edge protection buffer that reduces the stress effects of temperature changes on the device. The maximum Rds(on) is just 6.5mΩ, which further minimizes switching losses.
