The AOZ1915DI is an integrated synchronous step-down DC/DC converter from Alpha & Omega Semiconductor that helps reduce the size and cost of power designs. Working Principle

This COT architecture senses inductor current, providing fast transient response and excellent loop performance. A built-in switched-capacitor based pulse frequency modulation (PFM) controller helps maintain a high efficiency power solution over a wide range of input and output conditions.

The AOZ1915DI provides 1.5% voltage accuracy and a fast line-transient response of 50us. This helps ensure that the output voltage is always correct and that the power supply tolerates power disturbances. It also features over-temperature, over-current, over-voltage, and under-voltage protections for improved system reliability.

The AOZ1915DI can be used with a wide range of external inductors and capacitors and is compatible with commercially available controllers. This makes it an ideal solution for replacing inefficient and bulky linear regulators in space-constrained designs.
