AP2213H-3.3TRG1 is a Linear Voltage Regulator from the Power Management IC (PMIC) family of components. Working Principle

AP2213H-3.3TRG1 is a two-terminal low-dropout regulator, which consists of an internal p-channel MOSFET, an error amplifier, a voltage reference and a current limiting circuit. The regulation feedback loop is driven by the error amplifier, with the voltage reference providing the comparison voltage. The current limit circuit ensures safe power delivery to the load in situations of overload. The internal MOSFET is driven by the error amplifier output and operates in the control of the input voltage, so as to maintain the output voltage constant.

When the input voltage is higher than the reference voltage, the output of the error amplifier will be high and the gate of the MOSFET will be pulled high. This MOSFET will then conduct, allowing current to flow into the load, thereby keeping the output voltage constant.

When the input voltage is lower than the reference voltage, the output of the error amplifier will be low.This low output voltage will cause the MOSFET to be turned off, thus limiting the current flow from the input line to the output line. The output voltage will then remain constant.

AP2213H-3.3TRG1 also has a PSRR of up to 50 dB, which ensures clean and low noise power to the load irrespective of varying input voltages and environmental noise.
