MemoryThe AT24C01C-STUM-T is a 1 Kb EEPROM (electrically erasable programmable read-only memory) with a 64-byte page write capability. It features an I2C-compatible 2-wire serial interface, low-power CMOS technology, and a VCC operating range of 2.5-5.5V. Memory sizes range from 128 to 4 KB, offering plenty of space for storing data and programs for industrial, medical, and consumer applications.AT24C01C-STUM-T is often used as an interface for embedded systems. For example, it can be used to control access to a specific resource or to store information that is critical to the operation of the system. Additionally, many AT24C01C-STUM-T devices are used in hardware designs implementing embedded systems, such as digital picture frames and smartphone applications.The AT24C01C-STUM-T is composed of a memory array and an I2C-compatible serial interface. Control signals include an enable, write enable, and read enable signals to enable reads, writes, and erase operations respectively.The AT24C01C-STUM-T has a self-timed write cycle which consists of three operations: write cycle start, write cycle and write cycle end. In the write cycle start operation, the device is enabled by the write enable signal and then receives the memory address and data. The data is then stored in the write latch, which is then written to the memory array in the write cycle. Once the data is written, the write cycle end procedure begins, where the write enable signal is reset and the device enters a standby mode.In addition to the write operation, the AT24C01C-STUM-T supports a read operation. The read operation consists of a start condition and a data acknowledge cycle. During the start condition, the enable signal is set and the device receives the memory address. During the data acknowledge cycle, the device outputs the data from the selected memory location and the acknowledge signal resets the device to the standby mode.The AT24C01C-STUM-T utilizes a number of features that increase reliability and ensure data integrity. The device supports a write protect pin, which prevents accidental corruption of data. Additionally, the device has an in-built self-timed write cycle which prevents data loss in the event of power failure.At the heart of the AT24C01C-STUM-T is a reliable, low-power CMOS logic circuit that efficiently manages the power use of the device. It uses very little power, which makes it very suitable in battery-powered applications.
