Working Principle

The AT24C16B-TSU-T device works by storing data in a serial memory array, with sixteen independent 16-bit registers. The device is programmed by sending a serial data to the device and it is read by receiving a serial data from the device.

To write data to the device, a serial write instruction is transmitted to the device, followed by the address of the register to which the data is to be written. The data is then written to the address and the device acknowledges the data by the write enable signal. Once the write enable signal is received, the device updates its internal register with the data.

To read data from the device, first a read instruction is transmitted to the device and the address of the register is sent. The device will then respond with the data from the requested address. Then the device will transmit the data back to the originator.
