Working Principle
AT24CS02-XHM-T is comprised of two main components: the external circuit (also known as an address decoder) and the internal circuit (also known as a memory array). The external circuit stores data on an addressable memory using a two-wired serial interface. The internal circuit is composed of an array of memory cells that store the data. The memory cells are arranged in x-y coordinates, allowing data to be stored on a single address.
AT24CS02-XHM-T memory cells can be written to, read from, and erased. The data being written to the memory cells is stored in the external circuit. The erase operation is accomplished by placing a negative gate voltage onto each of the memory cells. This causes the charge stored in the memory cells to be wiped clean.
AT24CS02-XHM-T can read from and write to the memory cells using a two-wired serial interface. The interface is capable of streaming data up to 125Kb/s at a supply voltage of 3.3V. For most applications, the supply voltage for the device can range from 1.8V to 5.5V, and it boasts a standby current of only 2µA.
