An ATMEGA64-16AC is an embedded microcontroller that works on a 8-bit AVR RISC based architecture. ATMEGA64-16AC has an 8MHz internal oscillator, 1K bytes of internal EEPROM, and 64K bytes of internal SRAM, as well as 64 I/O lines that can be balanced by a single instruction.

Working Principle
The ATMEGA64-16AC has a two-stage pipeline architecture for efficient processing of instructions. The first stage of the processor is the instruction fetch (IF) stage, which fetches two instructions at a time from either memory or a prefetch unit. The second stage of the processor is the instruction decode and execution (EDE) stage, where the two instructions fetched from the IF stage are decoded and executed.
The ATMEGA64-16AC uses internal memory, or external memory, or both in the form of the following flash memory: program memory (Flash EEPROM), data memory (RAM), and EEPROM. The device also supports up to six external interrupt lines with up to four priority levels. The external interrupts can be enabled or disabled through the interrupt control unit (ICU).
The ATMEGA64-16AC also incorporates a number of other features such as ADC, PWM, SPI, TWI, and UART. The ADC unit of the microcontroller allows for the conversion of analog signals to digital using a successive approximation method. It also features an eight-channel multiplexed ADC system which allows for the conversion of multiple analog signals within a single cycle. The ATMEGA64-16AC is powered by a 3V to 5V DC supply and is coded with instruction SETs contained in its 512K flash memory that can be programmed for up to 1 million cycles.
