Working Principle

The AZ7023ZTR-E1 is a voltage supervisor with a timer and output latch. The voltage supervisor has a monitoring threshold of 1.5V, and an adjustment range of 1.30V up to 3.8V. The timer is adjustable with a range of 1.5ms up to 1 second. When the supply voltage exceeds the threshold voltage, VCC, the AZ7023ZTR-E1 starts a programmable one-second timer delay. The output latch signals VCC exceed and the timer is started and latched, and if the VCC exceeds the threshold voltage for more than the timer delay the output is asserted.

The AZ7023ZTR-E1 has a low quiescent current of 4 μA (typical). The output switches are also designed with low consumption current of 3.2mA (typical). The AZ7023ZTR-E1 offers protection against brownout and over-voltage using the adjustable timer and the threshold voltage feature.
