Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are polarized capacitors which utilize an electrolyte to achieve a larger capacitance value. Aluminum electrolytic capacitors provide a high capacitance-to-volume ratio that makes them suitable for a wide range of applications. The B41043A3477M is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor manufactured by TDK Corporation. It is a 105 degree C rated miniature aluminum electrolytic capacitor with a 4.7uF capacitance. It has a twofold construction which features removable papers for insulation, making it easier to mount on the circuit board. The capacitor also has a lead-free pure Tin finish, and a temperature range of -55 to +105 degrees Celsius.The B41043A3477M aluminum electrolytic capacitor is used in a wide range of applications pertaining to low-impedance circuit protection. These include pulse generators, LC filters, fly-back transformers, and in surge-protection circuits. This type of capacitor works by quickly charging and discharging, allowing them to protect components from excessive voltage levels.

Working Principle of Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

An aluminum electrolytic capacitor works by using a thin sheet of impregnated aluminum foil inserted between two conducting plates. This inner-layer acts as a dielectric barrier, allowing the capacitor to store an electrical charge. When a voltage is applied, electrons flow backwards and forwards across the aluminum foil, resulting in the capacitor being fully charged.When the capacitor is discharged, the electric field surrounding it is increased in strength.
