Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

An aluminum electrolytic capacitor (AEC) is an electronic component that takes advantage of the physical properties of an electrolytic solution to increase an electrical circuit’s capacitance. AECs are composed of two aluminum layers separated by a thin insulating film, and when applied to an electrical circuit, the capacitor can efficiently store charge and discharge electrical energy.
