Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are widely used in various areas on our daily life and in industrial electronic equipment, such as computers, air conditioners, microwave ovens, TVs and other multimedia electronic devices.

B43305A9567M82 is one kind of aluminum electrolytic capacitor. It usually belongs to the non-solid type. It has small physical dimensions, low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and excellent stability. Its main application field is to provide effective filtering and decoupling in switching power supplies, or to ensure reproducible and rapid energy storage capacity in power amplifiers.

The working principle of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor is based on Faraday\'s law of electrolysis. It usuallly contains two electrode foil with a separator film between them. The negative foil of the capacitor is the oxide coated aluminum foil, and the positive foil is the plain aluminum foil. When an AC voltage is applied, the potential difference between the two electrodes makes the metal atoms from the negative aluminum oxide layer move towards the positive metallic surface. This movement creates an electro-chemical reaction, causing metal cations and electrons to break away from the anode surface.

The electrons flow through the metal oxide barrier and into the cathode, forming a charging current. The metal cations moving through the electrolyte and onto the cathode surface form a discharge current. The current gained from this reaction is stored as charge in the capacitor, which increases its capacitance. Under AC voltage, these current flows continuously, thus generating the AC capacitance.

The electrolyte of B43305A9567M82 capacitor usually is moisture-proof type, which can prevent the leakage current of the capacitor caused by absorption of moisture and humidity. So that it can work better and the performance is more reliable. Its temperature characteristics can also be improved by adding an outer sleeve, when the capacitor is in higher temperature application environment. Under voltage stresses, the electrodes on both sides of the capacitor oxide insulation layer may cause a partial discharge to occur, forming a small dielectric spot. After a period of time, the temperature of the dielectric spot is increased due to the multiplication of electrons present, causing the nearby molecules to be oxidized to regain the electrical insulating performance.
