Aluminum electrolytic capacitors, short for AECs, are a class of capacitor. They have very high capacitance values, and are constructed with two plates of aluminum foil, separated with a paper impregnated with electrolyte. The two plates are separated by a porous medium such as paper or metal oxide. This porous material also acts as the dielectric material of the capacitor. An external voltage applied across the two plates causes a current to pass, forming an electrical field. This electric field enables the capacitance to increase as the voltage increases. Depending on the type of capacitor, some may be capable of high voltage rating, while others may be extremely sensitive to voltage change.

B43455C5338M7 is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor designed with high thermal endurance. It is designed to maintain over 85% of initial capacitance after 3,000 hours at 85℃ with rated voltage applied and 100% of ripple current and full rated voltage.
