Inrush Current Limiters (ICLs) are used to protect electrical circuits from overcurrent spikes. This type of overcurrent protection is especially important in circuits with highly capacitive loads. B57236S0160M000 is one type of ICLs used to help protect such circuits.

This type of limiter features two components: a thermal-bimetallic switch and a resistor. An electrical current passes through the resistor and into the bimetallic switch.
