Gas Discharge Tube Arresters (GDT) are used to protect electronic circuits from transient overvoltage disturbances by redirecting the current into the earth ground. The B88069X3660T502 is a GDT designed to protect pairs of high-speed digital communication lines (i.e. multi-GHz clock signals).
