BC868 and BC115 are both NPN transistors. They are typically used for small signal, low power applications and for switching purposes. These transistors are usually located close to their power sources or to other components that require the device to operate optimally.

The BC868 and BC115 have very similar electrical characteristics and can be used interchangeably.
