BD4734G-TR Application Field and Working Principle

PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) supervisors are designed to monitor the supply voltage to detect any unstable feedback. Among these supervisors is the BD4734G-TR, an IC commonly used in consumer electronics, automotive and some industrial applications. Its main applications include power-on reset and power-off reset functions.

The overall working principle of the BD4734G-TR supervisor is divided into two phases. The first phase is the power-on reset part where it receives the input voltage and supplies a reset signal to the system when there is any instability generated in the supply voltage. The second phase of operation is the power-off reset part where the supervisor detects the decrease in the supply voltage and sends out a reset signal to the system.

The power-on reset part of the BD4734G-TR supervisor can easily be integrated into any power-supply circuits and will prevent system reset due to excessive ripple noise or microcontroller malfunctions.
