Working Principle
The BD4744G-TR is designed to generate a reset signal output under the following conditions: when the power is turned on (power-on reset), when the power supply voltage drops (under-voltage detection), and when the power supply voltage is over the specified threshold (over-voltage detection). The reset signal will remain active until the power supply voltage is stabilized, and then it will be de-asserted. The BD4744G-TR can also monitor two or three power supply voltages and generate a monitoring output when the voltage exceeds the specified threshold.The output reset signal, RESET or VDD_OUT, can be set to 3-state or 2-state operation. In 3-state mode, the output is in a high impedance state when the power is off and when the power supply voltage is unstable. In 2-state mode, the output is held in either high or low state instead of the high impedance state.When the power supply voltage is lower than the specified threshold, the low-voltage power-down reset circuit is enabled. This circuit generates a reset signal up to a certain period of time when the power supply voltage is below the specified level.Conclusion
