BD4838G-TR is a supervisory IC designed for monitoring voltage and is classified as a PMIC (Power Management IC) - Supervisors. It also contains on-chip temperature compensation and device temperature monitoring capabilities, allowing the over/under voltage output lockout to suspend system operations when the IC temperature is above or below the setpoint. Some other features of the IC include a reverse polarity input protection, short-circuit protection, and a built-in significant amount of noise immunity on its input/output pins.

The BD4838G-TR works based on the basic voltage supervisor working principle. It is designed to ensure that the system voltage does not drop or go higher than a predetermined value. To do this, the device monitors the system\'s main supply by checking the input voltage level. The input voltage is evaluated against an internal reference voltage that is specified in the device’s datasheet.
