PMIC Supervisors are power management integrated circuit devices which provide voltage and current supervision or control in electronic systems. The BD4851FVE-TR is a high-performance 4-Channel supervisor IC with +1.8V to +5.5V operating voltage range. It monitors four power supplies that include system power supply, power supply input to various peripheral chips, and power supply to core logic. It can detect even small voltage values of 0.25V or higher. It also provides a handy reference voltage at its dedicated output terminal as a power supply source when a third source is added to the system.

The voltage monitor of the BD4851FVE-TR Supervisor constantly monitors the system power supply voltage or voltage of the peripheral ICs. Upon detection of abnormality, it produces an appropriate output signal in a wide detection range of 1.8 ~ 5.5V and can detect even small voltage values down to several millivolts. It also monitors current according to detection range settings and produces a predetermined output signal upon detection of an abnormality.

The Reset Generation Circuit of the BD4851FVE-TR Supervisor generates Reset signals to reset processor upon detection of power supply abnormality. It contains reset signal output for the Supply Voltage Low Detection, High voltage Detection, and Low voltage Detection. This signal is applied to respective external process blocks upon detection of an abnormality, to reset their power supply in order to ensure their normal operation.

The BD4851FVE-TR Supervisor has various features that make it suitable for use in different power supply management and system reset operations.
