DC DC Switching Controllers are a type of integrated circuit designed to control the output voltage of a power supply system. This duty cycle is adjusted through the output voltage control pin to match the specified output voltage. As the output voltage is lowered, the duty cycle is automatically reduced and vice versa. The BD9851EFV-E2 has two pins- input and output- and two modes of operation, namely standby and on. In standby mode, the device shuts off all its internal circuitry, allowing only the minimum power drain necessary to maintain its operating state. In the on mode, the device functions as a PWM regulator by controlling the on/off time of its internal switch.The BD9851EFV-E2 is also fitted with a number of protection features to ensure that the power conversion system remains safe and reliable.
