The BOOSTXL-ULN2003 is an evaluation board designed to simplify evaluation and development of applications using a ULN2003 chip. The UDA2003 or ULN2003 is a darlington array. It has seven power Darlington transistor pairs in a 40-pin package ideal for use in applications where low-level drive is required. The BOOSTXL-ULN2003 works as an interface between microcontrollers and power drivers, thus making it suitable for driving a variety of power devices, including relays, solenoids, servo motors and stepper motors.

The BOOSTXL-ULN2003 features the ULN2003 chip and offers up to 500 mA current carrying capacity per channel. The ULN2003 chip also offers numerous protection features such as thermal shutdown, over voltage and reverse current protection. The board also includes an input terminal for controlling the relay output and a breakout header so that the ULN2003 chip can be directly used in the system.

The board allows connection with a variety of input and output devices, including sensors, switches, relays, stepper and servo motors. It also features an on-board 3.3V regulator which allows the board to operate from any power source between 5V and 28V. A status LED also indicates when the ULN2003 chip is enabled and disabled.
