During the charging operation, this device will monitor the battery voltage and temperature. An internal timer will shut off the charging circuitry when the charge current drops below an internal threshold or when the temperature exceeds an internal threshold. Two soft-start algorithms are additionally implemented to avoid large inrush current at startup.
