The wide input voltage range of the BQ25505 allows it to be used in a variety of applications, such as portable medical and industrial equipment, and consumer electronics. It consists of a regulated 40V peak synchronous buck charger which includes a low-side MOSFET. It is capable of charging single or multiple cell battery packs in parallel or in series. It is also capable of regulating the charger\'s output voltage, current, and status.The BQ25505 features USB-IF-compliant data cable detection, reverse battery insertion detection, and a programmable input voltage.
