The BTS740S2NT is a low on-resistance N-channel enhancement-mode Field-Effect Transistor (FET) designed to serve as a power switch for controlling currents, voltage and power in a wide variety of power distribution applications. The BTS740S2NT is an ideal choice for applications such as industrial automation, automotive, HVAC, and medical that require efficient power distribution and load handling. This device is capable of switching up to 32A at up to 45V and includes several features that allow it to be easily integrated into power management systems.

The BTS740S2NT is a low on-resistance N-channel enhancement-mode FET that is available in an industry-standard TO-263 package with a 168 package marking code. It has a low threshold voltage and a maximum drain source RDS(ON) of 130mΩ. The device has an internal ESD diode for ESD protection and also features a gate-to-source voltage (VGS) of ± 10V, with a minimum VGS of 2V. The device also features a temperature operating range of -40°C to 125°C and is designed for high-side or low-side switching applications. The BTS740S2NT is also RoHS compliant.

Working Principle

The working principle of the BTS740S2NT is based on the unique characteristics of field-effect transistors (FETs). FETs are three-terminal semiconductor devices that use an electric field to control a flow of current.
