Working Principle

The BU4232FVE-TR provides 3 channels of power monitoring. Each channel features an over voltage detection (OVD) circuit and a reset output pin. The devices are designed to detect a supply voltage above an internally-programmable threshold. Upon detecting the over-voltage, it will activate an output signal to indicate the abnormality. In addition, the device also features an independent reset output pin. The reset pin is designed to assert when a supply voltage drops below a particular wiring level. Once the detected voltage range is restored, the reset pin will immediately deassert.

The BU4232FVE-TR can detect a wide range of threshold voltages from 1V to 4.6V, by setting the two external resistors. By doing so, the device can be optimised for the desired application.

In addition, the BU4232FVE-TR also provides a low static power consumption of under 1.0 μA and a high noise immunity of up to 2 kVrms. The device can operate up to 85°C ambient temperature.
