TVS - Diodes, BZW04-40B B0G Application Field and Working Principle TVS - Diodes are semiconductor devices that are used to protect against electrical transients. They are also known as transient voltage suppressor diodes, voltage clamping diodes, transient voltage suppressors (TVS), or Transil diodes. They come in many shapes and sizes, depending on the application. The TVS - Diodes, BZW04-40B B0G, is a compact, surface mountable, bidirectional TVS Diode that provides protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD). The BZW04-40B B0G is an ultra-low power unidirectional device, meaning that it can be used for both over-voltage and electrostatic discharge protection for a wide variety of consumer, industrial, and automotive applications.
